Sun Capsule Inc., the manufacturer and distributor of high-end tanning booths, is under new ownership. Thomas P. Holland took ownership of Sun Capsule and will assume role of CEO. Holland has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, where he successfully developed and implemented strategies, which resulted in those businesses becoming market leaders. He is a hands-on leader aggressively focused on continuing to build market share and providing thought leadership in the tanning industry. Wayne Chevie, a 30-year tanning industry veteran, who has been with Sun Capsule since 1997 will continue as Executive Vice President of National Sales.

“The future of Sun Capsule is extremely bright. I am thrilled and welcome the opportunity to partner with Tom to write the next chapter for the Company,” commented Chevie.

Plans are in place to move the company forward with improved research and development, the introduction of new products, the expansion of its finance program, and the addition of new industry talent that will support its plans for continued growth in the tanning and fitness industries. “Our mission is to continue to be the industry leader by producing and supplying state-of-art tanning equipment and providing best in class customer service,” commented Holland.

Holland has taken the reigns from Gene Charette, who founded Sun Capsule over 35 years ago. Charette is taking steps towards his welldeserved retirement, but will also remain at Sun Capsule as an executive consultant who will exclusively focus on future innovative product

“I am grateful to Gene for his years of dedication to Sun Capsule and also for his instrumental actions and partnership in this transition. I am also thrilled to have Gene remain on the Sun Capsule team while he eases into retirement,” stated Holland.

To round out the executive management team, Leslie Browne joins Sun Capsule as Executive Vice President of Marketing. Leslie brings over 25 years of management and marketing experience and will continue to define the Sun Capsule brand.
